Joel Joseph is devastated and he loses what little faith he had. First, he blames GOD then himself and he runs from anything religious. He blames his seedy foster care, the BTK gangs, flying bullets, and cruel tenants who beat him mercilessly for sleeping in their freezing stairwells. He's tempted to join the BTK gangs who call him the White Devil because he is part Caucasian and Asian. They know about his three black belts and they want him to organize and lead their dwindling BTK gang, but Joel refuses to accommodate them. Joel's only hope of survival depends on a mysterious homeless man he meets in Central Park. But, right now he's running from a BTK gang down Bowery Street, near Chatham Square in Chinatown.
